We're just about finished with our insect study (good thing, because it's getting cold here in Arizona and there aren't many left to be found). We will be focusing on weather next. Here's a chart I've made for our study.

Island of the Blue Dolphins Lapbook Finished!
We finished Island of the Blue Dolphins and LOVED it!
The kids did a great job on their lapbooks. The
templates you see here that are not included in the
freebies I'm offering can be found here....
Also, the basket mini-book "Karana's Food", I had to
modify the size to fit unto a side section of the lapbook.
This was one of the mini-books I found at
Lapbook Lessons.
The red lapbook is my 10 year old son's and the
blue one is my 13 year old daughter's.

How To Be a Good Citizen - Webelos Requirement
My 10 year old son just received his Webelos badge this week! One of his requirements was to make a poster about how to be a good citizen. We found clipart that represented what he thought was important to be a good citizen and added those to his poster. He used the second page in the file below and wrote in what he felt should be added. I added his answers to the first page for those of you with younger children. I thought this would be a great page to add to a good citizen notebook if any of you are working on something like that. You could also cut them out and place them in pocket to add to a lapbook.

Island of the Blue Dolphins Lapbook
We are currently reading Island of the Blue Dolphins while using a unit study from Learning Adventures, A New World of Adventure. I hope you enjoy putting this lapbook together as much as we are. Walk to Cure Diabetes
Our daughter was diagnosed with type I diabetes December 7, 2008. She thought it would be fun to do this with her friends and family. If any of you are Las Vegas residences and would like to get involved you can find out more below. Donations are welcome and you can find the link for that below as well.
This event will take place in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 14. It is taking place at UNLV's North Field. Registration begins at 9am and the 5K walk begins at 10am. If you would like to join us here are some details for you...
